The Illuminate Ketamine Center is centrally located in Kingsport, Tennessee and is convenient for patients throughout the Tri-Cities, Southwest Virginia and neighboring states including Kentucky and South Carolina.
Illuminate Ketamine Center was founded in 2018 to help people struggling from Depression/Anxiety disorders, Chronic Pain Syndromes, PTSD and Suicidal Ideation, unrelieved by conventional pharmacology, find the light of hope again. The Illuminate team works with many local health care providers to ensure all therapy works in conjunction with a holistic treatment plan.
Sheila Beasley BSN, MSN, CRNA

Sheila began her journey in the medical field as an RN in 1981. Her practice focused on critical care, both adult and pediatric bedside care, and management. Obtaining her Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification, she utilized her experience in education at the hospital level and as a guest lecturer for continuing education programs. Her management experience included a large open-heart recovery room and ICU where she helped make history participating in the care of the world’s first longest living artificial heart recipient. In 1991, Ms. Beasley entered graduate school to pursue a degree in anesthesia. For over 25 years, Ms. Beasley has practiced in a variety of anesthesia settings and brings her experience and knowledge to our clinic, and our patients. Since 2000, Ms. Beasley has traveled annually to the Dominican Republic to provide anesthesia care to underserved and impoverished communities. Her faith and family are central to who she is and have led to her desire to minister to those in pain. She is excited to bring this new and innovative Ketamine therapy to the Tri-cities area.
Emily Dougherty BSN, MSN, CRNA

A lifelong resident of Kingsport and 2004 graduate of ETSU College of Nursing, Emily started her nursing career in the ICU at Johnson City Medical Center. Having a desire to advance her skills and knowledge, she received a Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. Since then, she has been employed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and provides anesthesia services most recently at Kingsport Day Surgery. In her almost ten years as a CRNA she has gotten extensive experience in cardiac, trauma and pediatric anesthesia which will enable her to provide excellent care to patients seeking Ketamine therapy through our clinic. She continues to feed her love for learning by serving as the Abingdon Site Distance Education Coordinator for VCU’s Nurse Anesthesia Program and frequently lectures and advises incoming CRNA students. She considers her greatest accomplishment being a proud mother of 2 young children. She enjoys activities with them and the rest of her family most of all.
Rachael is the Illuminate Ketamine Center’s full-time Marriage and Family Therapist committed to treating individuals of all ages, families, and couples. Her specialty is working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, pre/post-divorce, and behavioral concerns in children.
Rachael is a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist as well as a certified Parent-Child Interactive Therapist and Level 1 trainer. Studies show that most individuals seek out therapy when they are in a state of crisis and when their bodies are out of homeostasis. Voelker excels in helping clients return to their pre-crisis state. Voelker, while focusing on both a systemic and strength-based approach, highlights the strengths of several therapy techniques including cognitive behavior, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing. Utilizing this approach allows several models of change to be integrated thus placing the client’s needs and goals as the driver to focus on the long-term success of the client.
Rachael has an Associate of Science degree in General Studies, from Northeast State Community College; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, from King University; and a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Voelker has been working in the mental health field since 2013.
